The properties of CNT at the nanometer scale are remarkable, but as a powder, they have been used only in limited applications such as battery additives. aweXome Ray has found a way to fine-tune the intermolecular forces between CNT, allowing them to bind together. This enables us to produce CNT in one-dimensional fiber or two-dimensional membrane form. Through additional processing, we can deliver CNT with the shape and properties our customers need, under the brand name axrial.

Key Technologies

At aweXome Ray, we have developed a unique technology that precisely controls the structure and properties of CNT, enabling us to shape them to meet the needs of a wide range of industries. We begin by drawing CNT into thread-like yarn, then weaving them into fibers, and further expanding them into membranes thinner than a strand of hair. This entire process is possible because we design the structure and tune the properties of CNT from the very first stage of synthesis.

  • Continuous Production Technology for CNT Fibers

    We use a direct spinning method based on the FC-CVD process to continuously produce CNT fibers with thicknesses ranging from tens to hundreds of micrometers.

  • CNT Fiber Twisting and Braiding Process Technology

    The CNT fibers we produce undergo post-processing steps such as drying, twisting, and drawing to become compatible with conventional textile processes. Through braiding, we can further tailor the fibers to achieve the desired properties.

  • Electroplating Technology for CNT Fibers

    aweXome Ray has developed a continuous plating process optimized for the surface and structure of our CNT fibers. This allows us to produce ultra-lightweight wire materials that offer electrical conductivity comparable to copper, while weighing only one-fifth as much.

  • Continuous Production Technology for CNT Membrane

    By modifying the direct spinning method based on the FC-CVD process, we can continuously produce not only fibers but also two-dimensional membranes. Controlling the thickness and density of these membranes is a core capability unique to aweXome Ray.
