aweXome Ray, a carbon nanotube (CNT) materials startup, is developing a next-generation material for use in semiconductor pellicles—critical components in advanced semiconductor manufacturing. The goal: to break the supply dominance of a few Japanese players, including Mitsui Chemicals.
According to industry sources on the 22nd, aweXome Ray is in the final stage of co-developing a CNT-based pellicle in collaboration with a domestic pellicle component company. A company official stated, “We’ve nearly reached our targets in terms of transmittance and full-size scale—both key performance indicators. We aim to complete development of a full-size pellicle with over 90% EUV transmittance within this year, and expect to move into certification and sample delivery by 2025.”
